WebProductive, Kentico Partnership and the cloud

WebProductive are happy to announce that we are now partners with Kentico. Kentico is a Content Management System that allows WebProductive to provide our clients with high quality and integrated websites.

From a technical perspective the Kentico CMS has a portal engine that allows our developers to customise our clients’ websites, this engine is extremely extendable, and it allows us to integrate specific customer requirements into the CMS system via the existing backend interface. So everything is stored in one familiar place.

We also have the ability to integrate cloud tools via the CMS web parts.  The scenario might be where there is a document or spreadsheet that you regularly update on your website and you have moved to a cloud solution for your document or spreadsheet provider. When you want to update your website with the new version of this document, you login to your cloud solution, find your document, download this document to your desktop (somewhat defeating the purpose of 'cloud'!), save it as a version, access your website, and upload the document (which if it is a large doc can be time consuming). Kentico CMS enables WebProductive to implement tools to make the process happen in one step via the Kentico backend. Select the document that you want to display, and click go.   This means that you will be able to house all your documents in one place in the cloud.

We have also extended this to sync calendars, so now clients can book an event online or schedule appointments straight into your online calendar which can then sync into directly to your work calendar / personal calendar or mobile phone.

All this means that WebProductive are busy taking an excellent CMS (Kentico) and an excellent cloud office suite (Google Docs) and merging the two. Winner = your productivity.
